NIE Applications

(Número de Identificación Extranjero) This is the identification number allocated to a person from outside of Spain, i.e. non-Spanish national. This number is required for almost all Spanish forms, utilities, paying taxes etc. It gives the person no rights of residency. We can take you through this process, helping you apply for this number by completing the application form, advising what supporting documents you need and even accompany you to the appropriate office to make the application – the application has to be made in person at the appropriate office of the police in Spain.

Sometimes due to work commitments or you are not able to come to Spain then we can apply for the NIE on your behalf with a Power of Attorney, this obviously has additional cost implications but can be a good option for busy professional people.
